I DID IT!!! Christmas d̶i̶n̶n̶e̶r̶ supper. 🦃
-
Growing up, my Singaporean-Chinese family didn't have a tradition to celebrate Christmas. The gift exchange was non-existent, while CNY Ang Bao or Lai See (red packets with cash) was a great deal instead.
So naturally, I don't get to eat turkey that much unlike most of my western or international peers who might be sick of turkeys by now. 😏

I've never roasted a chicken before. Let alone a turkey.
But I've bought a frozen 1.8kg French turkey on impulse and it has been sitting in my refrigerator to defrost for 48 hours.
Can't waste that.
I started googling "How to cook a turkey" at 5.06pm. Shopped for the stuffing and etc at 6pm. Prepped the turkey by 7.30pm...
Little did I know THIS LITTLE 🦃 TAKES 3 HOURS TO MAKE! 😆
I've also made the gravy from scratch with the giblets which was new for me.
Definitely my most memorable Christmas d̶i̶n̶n̶e̶r̶ supper for the 2 of us.
Very satisfied with my first attempt. Had so much laughter doing this that it was almost embarrassing.
